Philippines Tour Invitation:
This is an invitation for you to go on our next Christian Team Ministries Tour to the Philippines in early June (specific dates have not been set, but the trip will be just over three weeks in length). I must know of your commitment to go with us as soon as possible. This is so that you have ample non-pressured time in which to raise your portion of the funding for the trip and to obtain your passport. Here is some information about this summer's trip:
The entire cost of the tour is approximately $2,200 (Round trip from San Francisco). It may be less if we obtain a better price for airline tickets. Please click here for an application:Tour Application.doc
Please fill-out and return your application within the next few days. Also, If you do not have a passport, you will need to apply for one immediately. Procedures for obtaining your passport may be found in your telephone book, as well as on the Internet. You will not need a visa for the Philippines. Also, keep receipts for the cost of your photos and passport because you can get reimbursed for those expenses from the funds that are sent into CTM designated for you.
IMPORTANT:
As soon as your Tour Application is accepted & approved, we will send you detailed information that explains how to write your sponsor letters to mail them out to prospective investors who will be funding your portion of the tour.
Your letters to your prayer partners and potential sponsors should be mailed out between the time your application is approved and the first week of April. Most of your expenses for your portion of the trip will be sent in from your prayer and financial support team (As I mentioned above, we will send you information that will assist you in writing and distributing your sponsor letters).
Be certain to also inform your pastor, coaches, teachers, relatives, and friends about your going on the ministry tour. They will be a tremendous encouragement to you as you prepare to go.
TRIP OVERVIEW:
During our time in the Philippines, we will have an opportunity to compete and minister at a variety of sports events; conduct sports clinics; speak in colleges, schools and churches; minister during praise & worship concerts (such as LouAnn Lee's concerts last year), work in a children's orphanage ministry; minister to children/families in the squatter's areas, and assist missionaries and national pastors with their churches' ongoing work.
In addition, athletes and coaches will minister with students and their instructors in learn-by-doing clinic sessions. Track & Field athletes will be involved in intercultural team demonstrations and competitions at various towns and villages.
Furthermore, pastors and youth pastors who will be going on the tour will have opportunities to minister in churches and share at one or more three-day CTM Pastors Enhancement Conference(s) (over 200 Filipino Pastors and Christian workers are expected to attend the conferences).
